Rhizobacteria inoculation in maize associated with nitrogen and zinc fertilization at sowing

چکیده

ABSTRACT Rhizobacteria have a wide range of plant growth-promoting mechanisms action, making them an alternative and/or complementary biological input for chemical fertilizers. In this respect, the present study aimed to assess growth and nitrogen accumulation in maize plants as function Azospirillum brasilense, Bacillus subtilis, zinc application at sowing. The experiment with ‘AL Bandeirante’ variety was conducted greenhouse, using completely randomized design. treatments were arranged 2 x factorial scheme, six repetitions, considering presence absence brasilense (5 g kg-1), subtilis mL kg-1) (20 seeds addition or not (30 kg ha-1) soil. variables assessed height, stem diameter, leaf, stem, shoot, root total dry weight, shoot content. Nitrogen fertilization increased weight well Zinc applied improved subtilis. Inoculation diameter content when performed There no isolated interaction effect between factors height weight.

Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria Inoculation to Enhance Vegetative Growth, Nitrogen Fixation and Nitrogen Remobilisation of Maize under Greenhouse Conditions

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) may provide a biological alternative to fix atmospheric N2 and delay N remobilisation in maize plant to increase crop yield, based on an understanding that plant-N remobilisation is directly correlated to its plant senescence. Thus, four PGPR strains were selected from a series of bacterial strains isolated from maize roots at two locations in Malaysi...

Response of Maize Varieties to Zinc Fertilization

Eight maize varieties viz. four composites (Mohor, Barnali, Khoibhutta, and BARI Maize-6) and four hybrids (BARI Hybrid Maize-1, BARI Hybrid Maize3, BARI Hybrid Maize Top 1 & Pacific 984), were tested for their response to zinc fertilization (0 and 3 kg Zn/ha) at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Jessore (AEZ-11, High Ganges River Floodplain) during 20022005. Rhizobacteria of maize and their antifungal activities.

During the growing season of 1984, the rhizobacteria (including organisms from the rhizosphere soil, the rhizoplane, and internal root zones) of 47 maize plants (two varieties) sampled from different locations in France and at different growth stages were inventoried. Isolates were characterized by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of their total cell proteins and were f...
